IPWT was established in 1970, by a group of brilliant technocrats with entrepreneurial vision. Over the past three decades, IPWT Group has established activities in all facets of environmental engineering, i.e. water supply, sewerage, sanitation, solid waste, air pollution and oil & gas with a turnover of INR 1140 million and growing.
In 1992, IPWT entered the construction products market and thus was the inception of it’s Waterproofing & Construction Chemicals Division. Since the early 1990’s and until 2005, IPWT entered into technical collaboration / licensee agreement with various international companies including Xypex Chemical Corporation, Canada and Zenex Construction Chemicals Inc., USA and offered waterproofing services or field supervision throughout the Indian subcontinent. Recently, IPWT have further upgraded it’s waterproofing service capabilities and expanded it’s technology horizons by entering into technical collaboration / licensee agreement with The oldest waterproofing technology company in the world, The Euclid Chemical Company, USA (also the owner of Tamms brand of waterproofing products) and into distributorship agreement with the pioneering membrane waterproofing company in Europe, Valli Zabban SPA, Italy. Having invested heavily in upgrading it’s technology and waterproofing service capabilities since the early 1990’s, IPWT Waterproofing & Construction Chemicals Division has grown to become the market leader in providing waterproofing with crystalline and membrane systems in India with a turnover of INR 421 million and growing.
